Darren Hannay

Darren is a qualified golf course superintendent with experience in his native Scotland and here in New Zealand at Whangaparaoa Golf Club. In 2004 he jumped the fence and joined Waitakere City Council as a Contracts Manager with prime responsibility for sports and landscape parks and open spaces. As a result of his golf and local government work experience, Darren has an excellent understanding of the needs of all types of clients and a good working knowledge of irrigation and equipment matters.

In his spare time Darren enjoys winning most of Parkland’s events which include fishing and poker to name a few.

Darren has primary responsibility for Parkland’s group of major golf courses, local government and contractor clients throughout the country.
