Gary joined Parkland on a permanent basis after helping out over the busy 2016/17 summer period with the Auckland warehouse team. There are prior connections with the company, as Gary is married to Michelle our resident Accountant.
Gary has a technical background from 25 years in the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) as an Aircraft Technician (engines and airframes). Over half of that time was spent either working on or supporting the Airforce’s helicopter fleet at the RNZAF’s Hobsonville base. Gary joined the large USA multi-national, engineering design consultancy firm URS, as their Learning & Development Officer for NZ and then in 2011, as Regional Training Coordinator
supporting New Zealand and Australian business operations.
Gary enjoys music, a good crime novel and watching all good sport – especially rugby (a Hurricanes and long suffering Blues supporter), as well as motorsport.
Too many years of playing competitive badminton and running from point A to point B and back to point A, have taken their toll! So please don’t worry about Gary’s limp!
