The Piccolo XR Plus is a small-sized wireless remote terminal unit that operates as an integral part of the IRRInet system. Extending the capabilities of the basic unit, the Piccolo XR extended unit operates up to 8 latched outputs and may receive up to 12 digital inputs.

The Piccolo XR Interface Unit (PIU) is connected to the IRRInet Field Unit, and communicates with the Piccolo XR Plus unit via its internal two-way low-power radio.

This includes two Piccolo units within a singular box to maximize asset management capabilities!

Self-Sufficient

The Cabinet Assembly System (CAS) is a Mottech enclosure with a built in solar panel and a strong integrated locking system to prevent vandalism and un-authorized access.

The Piccolo XR Plus is a high efficiency unit designed with very low power requirements. The unit ships complete with a 6V/90mA solar panel, designed to extend the life of the battery, provide a stable energy source and insure reliable communications.

The XR Plus is utilized in hundreds of various applications across thousands of units.

  • Asset Management Control
  • Master valve control – Within HOA’s, and Cities, the XR is wireless controlling Master Valves to minimize risk associated with broken Mainlines and Valves that fail in the open position.
  • Monitoring Options – Tracking flow, Pressure, Water Levels, Soil Moisture, pH and Salinity.

Advanced and autonomic communication capabilities

The Piccolo XR Plus communication using an integrated, low power radio providing range capabilities of 2-3 km depending on the terrain. Powerful Store and Forward capabilities allow for extended coverage using multiple XR units deployed in a an advance network methodology.
